At the height of female empowerment in 2020, a woman entrepreneurial business owner is celebrating the 35th anniversary of her first and only company.

On February 11th, 2020, CEO Robin Charin and her entertainment company, R.T. Clown, Inc. will commemorate 35 years in business. Robin Charin founded R.T. Clown, Inc. in 1985. A former Broadway performer and actress, Robin began her first entrepreneurial adventure beginning with a slowly emerging niche market for children’s birthday entertainment. As a young woman looking for work in Los Angeles, Robin decided that instead of working for someone else’s idea of what entertainment could be, why not start her own business and make the idea an even bigger and better one. From a single colorful clown, Robin grew her business quickly into a full-scale event and entertainment production company supporting specialty entertainment that includes a unique, ever-evolving, talented team of professional performers. Both Robin and her entertainers have a special sense of friendship and loyalty as Robin has always focused her business not only on her clients but on those she has employed throughout the years.

After 35 years in business, her creative approach to generating business and employment is her ability to meet nearly every unusual request for entertainment. From a comedic magician to a high-rising tight rope artist, Robin can just about find any client request one can think of.

Robin Charin’s professional and personal impact in the corporate and private sectors has produced unique on-going relationships throughout all of Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura Counties.

Robin’s broad outreach has supported the likes of The Actors Fund, Planned Parenthood, Make-a-Wish and children’s philanthropic organizations throughout Los Angeles County. In addition, Robin Charin is an active member of ILEA (International Live Events Association), a Gold Spotlight Member of the Actors Fund and an avid contributor to the Arts and Theatre communities.

Who knew in 1985 when Robin got a $1,000 loan from her father, (which she returned in full three months later) and a care bear costume that such an amazing and successful business would spring from it. rtclown.com
